Businesses like this should only charge you when your item is ready to ship, though that still needs honesty on their part.

 

And I totally understand that and I am truly sorry for you and everyone that has been affected by this. I don't know where the money went, I've been asking this all along just like you and many others.

 

American Express already credited me $10,200. New parts from different companies have already shipped....just saying Lil B's Fabrication front bumper shipped the next day....

 

I don't expect any business owner to come around a fan club they knowingly screwed $100k+ out of to try and be level with people, BUT, IF they did, I'd love to see mods leave the thread open for at least 3-4 hours, and thennnnnn nuke it.

 

Let's hope they didn't have an LLC, if they did maybe the AG can sue them for embezzlement?

 

Glad to hear you got the majority of your money back! Are you still waiting on or expecting any more money to be returned to you? I recall you had a 17k dispute or something like that?

You are not the only one, and while I am sure $2,500 is a lot to you (I know it is a lot to me) You are a small foot-note in the grand scheme of things. Take a deep breath and check your attitude at EO's door. Taking it out on the only 'insider' we have on this thread is absolutely childish.

WORST CASE SCENARIO you are out $2,500... guess what? you made it out CHEAP compared to others and Derrick, along with his toxicity, negativity, and shitty approach to this situation, is out of your life for $2,500. Be thankful for what you have and what is to come in the future, instead of taking it out on someone who is merely trying to help.

Yeah I disputed it all through PayPal, then called American Express Monday. They opened and closed the investigation in about 2 hours from my call and refunded me for the biggest purchase. I told them that I had the PayPal disputes already in and notified me that PayPal is actually faster than them at going through the whole process so to just hold off on the other two transactions I had until Sunday which is EO's deadline.

First time poster and new member here, wish it was under much better circumstances.

I too have been robbed by EO, Ordered their Proprietary Sliders for my 4runner (I know, not a Taco) and LFD Trans/Transfer skids. Spoke with LFD via email this morning and they never received my order from EO. I have a long list of emails where Amanda and Travis kept BS'ing me on production and shipping, then ghosted me. Ordered both items 11/18/21 and have been on them since Mid January 2022, and getting bs the entire time. Read through this entire thread and another one and understand they have been doing this for a long time. I filed a complaint with NYS and contacted AMEX today as well.

When I ordered I got a Veteran discount and spoke to them about my business, (own and run my own firearms company in CA) and how we have to support American small businesses.

These people are con artists and live a life that is based on lies. Karma

Any other strong tips as to how to recuperate any of my $ is helpful and appreciated.

 

What does that mean? EO self-imposed deadline? Or some kind of consumer protection deadline (to file claim, settle dispute, ???)?

 

Wow! I wasn't aware that this was such a problem.
I ordered a set of slider late last year, took them 5 mo. to ship.
I was very cautious and filed a claim with PayPal because it was reaching the 180 day deadline to file a claim.
They immediately called me and was upset that PayPal froze their funds due to my claim.
I assured them that upon receiving the sliders I would cancel the claim. (That didn't go over very well but they couldn't do anything)
I finally received the sliders and canceled the claim before I checked out the sliders. (My fault; should always check)

It turned out that the sliders were not built as expected. (They changed the design) The sliders only bolted to the side of the frame and did not wrap around to the bottom of the frame. (IMHO provided less resistance to upwards twisting)

Again called PayPal and had them re-open the claim. Immediately got a call from OE about the claim. They tried to convince me their was no advantage in strength of the slider to have the mounts wrap under the frame.
I told them regardless of his opinion of design this was NOT the design I ordered.
Since I live in Hawaii I decided to "Play nice" and keep the sliders and modify them myself, if they would do a partial refund due to unapproved design change. So they agreed and issued me a $200 refund.

So in the end they did O.K. with me. (But would they have done it if I didn't hold all the cards??) They basically didn't have a choice.
So I can't really say if they would have took care of my problem out of the goodness of their heart?

I agreed not to air my issues with them on the forum. (But since I see this is an ongoing thing with this company?) I figured it's time to tell my experience so other people can be informed.

P.S. I still have the sliders sitting on the side of my house. Haven't installed them because I don't have the time to fix the design issue.

 

Did they ask (or tell!) you to keep the complaint/issue confidential, or did you offer to do that?
