Buyer Beware: KTJO 4X4 Driver's Side Grab Handles w/ A Pillars, HUD, and Bowl Lights

Meso come out with some bowl lights? He's already got enough of my monies. lol

 

i just received an email that my door bowl lights have shipped. i already received them last week. this is the first communication i got from ktjo after placing my order and it happened after i received the product lol.

 

Now there's some cross-product consistency for once.

 

Nah, but you can hope.

I have the bowl lights and the grab handle. The bowl lights came 3 weeks after the order without any communication. The grab handle... arrived a week after I ordered it.

The products are good but customer service isn't great.

 

Sent this email to the shit bird today. Simple, and to the point. Guessing I might get a response by end of the week? Realist version of me is thinking more like end of the month.

"My driver's side grab handle shows that it was delivered to you by USPS on February 3rd but I have seen no response in regards to my refund. Please review previous emails regarding the details and issues with the order and process the refund as soon as you're able."

 

Welp, guess the refund@ktjo4x4.com email is no longer valid either. Guess I'll try another.

 

Update: Her website is incorrect. She told me it is "refunds@KTJO4X4.com", not refund. Whatever. So I hit her up on Facebook and this was her smarky bitch reply.

The 3rd was on Wednesday and it has been the weekend. So technically you have me two days when I have a full time job. I will look into this order. I can also look into the website and what it is showing for the email. Thank you for letting me know that as it seems it needs to be fixed.

ME: "The product does not meet my expectations. There are multiple stray black marks that are embedded in the gray plastic. As well as some lighter marks that look like plastic stress marks and some other random light coloring. The entire A-pillar piece and handle should be of uniform color, and it is not. I also received the wrong hardware. And the cover has inconsistent gaps around the edges which are also lined with a lot of leftover slag making it look terrible. This is not a good product at all. I did not attempt to install the product."

Change of mind? No, it's not all one solid color, and there are light colored plastic stress marks in it. I didn't try to install it, so none of the marks are due to anything I did. And the plastic slag around the bolt hole covers was not in the description either. This was billed as an OEM plug-n-play product. My oem a-pillar is all one color and has no extra slag anywhere.

 

KTJO: So you are aware of a 15% restocking fee that will be applied and the non-refund shipping fee as it states on the website correct? I will look for this returned item and look over it. As long as it arrives back the way it left, meaning it has been uninstalled, I’m sure you will get the remaining in a refund.

I understand the non refundable shipping fee. Thats fine. But what is the restocking fee being charged for? Nothing I did to the product was of my doing. It was a lock of quality control. And I never attempted to install the product either.

Yes it is an OEM item with an easy install process sir. It looks pretty close with very minor if any differences. Obviously the mounting brackets are in different locations but that is pretty much it

It's not even all one color. There are black marks in the plastic as well as other discolorations. Neither of those were in the description.

Yes, they are both grey, but in the molding process the quality control was not consistent and there is little black specs imbedded in the grey plastic

For the Profit! is the actual motto at KTJO 4x4.

That is fucked.

 

Bowl lights also suffer from quality problems. The bowl lights i received had issues with two of the bowl lights. The LED panel and wire are attached to the bowl with hot plastic, the plastic was broken and the wire and LED panel were loose. Had to reattach with hot glue. The second bowl light would not light. After further investigation I found that the polarity of the wires soldered to the LED circuit board were reversed. I had to unsolder the wires and reverse the connections. The board was clearly marked + and -.

Notified KTJO4x4 of the issues, but heard no response.

Make sure you check your bowl lights before installing.

 

Well that is pretty disappointing as well as discouraging.

 

A single melted stud? That's a shit design. KTJO 4x4 is gonna need more excuses after some folks go wheeling. LoL!

Dude, first thing I sad in the email about the handle to her.............."black specs in the gray plastic". Somehow that translates to me having a black handle. I don't know. Fucking retarded.

 

Hell, let those shitty connections and soldering get a few hot/cold cycles during the winter then in cab oven temps in the summer and I bet you see some more come undone.

For someone proclaiming OEM BS this and OEM quality that, KTJO 4x4 hasn't a fucking clue about dealing with Chinese manufacturing quality and quality management.
