Man, that ship pic makes me nostalgic for the Navios Amaranth chapter of this tale. Everyone was SO pumped. And it was cool watching the ship do its thing on the Atlantic. And the ship was so on time! Page 15 of...208. Basically the prologue.

Retail sales models now follow the rug and furniture stores. Always half off MSRP to start. I’m waiting for her ‘going out of business, all inventory must go’ flyer.

    Hahaha!

Those stores with perma-sales always make me laugh, except for Harbor Freight. It looks like COVID killed their perma-15% off coupons.

I got that same email. I'm curious where she got the parts for the picture. Mine sure don't have that level of fit or finish, especially the bolt hole covers.

The upper pic came from one of the last pre-production samples (July / August timeframe?). It still used the 3D printed covers.

The middle pic is a CAD model, I believe.

The bottom pic is either 3D printed or pre-production molds.

BTW, I did not get this secret squirrel message! I might be on the shit list? :woot:

    Update on my handle saga:
At the end of January I cancelled my long time order with SWMNBN (she who must not be named) the reason being simple and frivolous at the same time. I had texted her many times asking about my shipping details and finally she said she would make the shipping label and email the tracking number the night of Dec 30. On Dec 31 I had not received the promised track number so I impulsively cancelled the order. A small thing but it's like coffee stains on the seat back trays I guess. Anyhow, she refunded the full cost and shipping fees right away.

After all the waiting and shenanigans and all the problems/issues reported in this thread, I still wanted the handle so as soon as I got the refund I ordered a handle through Tacomabeast (sorry, @tonered , I had to do it.) just so I would not have to deal directly ever again with SWMNBN.
15 days after I ordered, the package went into the mail. 14 more days in the USPS system and 20 days with Canada Post. Delivered and installed last Friday. The handle has a couple of small gouges but not where I can see them so it's staying put. And it took way too long to thread the bottom bolt into the flimsy slip nut so I hope I never have to remove it. All in all not a great experience but it appears to fit properly, is solid and my wife is happy now that I have nothing truck related to bitch about.

Thanks to everyone who offered their experience and anecdotes of installing the handle. It all came in handy and saved me a bunch of additional aggrevation. Cheers

No worries from my part. You made an informed decision with your own Canuckistan Kopeks. :canada:

I hate having the handle myself, but the interior feng shui is now working. Dammit! :cookiemonster:

Dude, that seems like such a canadien way of getting that handle. For the record my expertise of canadien ways of doing things comes solely from strange brew. So... :notsure:

I had to remove mine today to install my Meso Puddle light switch.

I’ll admit I was kicking myself for not doing it while I was installing the handle the first time, but it was on and off with no issues. I really feel for you guys that have had to bend and fight with it.

You must be psychic. Or have I disclosed some of my secrets but don’t remember? Either way the 12 string sounds as good as ever. Don’t play it much though. Mostly my Martin HD28 and these days on Jamkzam or Sonobus.

I think when you canceled your order you told us a tale about a 12-string that you waited forever for...and then after death and endless moons, it arrived—and it was the wrong one.
