I get the frustration. I hear the anger. I feel the pain. As you can see banning KTJO from TW didn't end the business. Creating this thread didn't prevent people from buying KTJO products. I don't think anybody is forgiving KTJO nor forgetting their experience either.
I think the reason why this thread has so much life is because a combination of reasons. You have people that are dissatisfied and rightfully pissed off at KTJO and their products and then there are people that are curious and want to buy and use KTJO products. :)

I FINALLY got around to getting my HUD installed. It's not perfect, but it's not terrible little item. After getting it installed, I was expecting a round 2 with re-installing the grab handle (as in giving me fits). But the bolts went in with no issues. :bananadance:

I can confirm that there is about a 2-3 MPH difference between the dash vs. HUD. The interstate driving seems to be a bit more difference too. At least for mine, I was pushing between 70-85 MPH. If I was around 80, it would read 74 or 75. So this require some more testing on longer drives to see any real differences.

My only real legit complaint is the housing wasn't 100% flush against the dash. Doesn't keep it from working, but small irritation of mine.

I've attached a slow speed vid I took yesterday, so you cam see the speed differences.

Could it be your speaker causing the issue with the fit? You had mentioned something about non-OEM tweeters a few pages back.

What @poroto said. I have same Suburu tweeters. And bolts are tightened down as much as I can. Like I said, more an irritation of mine that it's not flush. :notsure:

I am sure that you will be surprised that it's been more than 24 hours and I have no response from my email to from KTJO regarding the broken wire/loose mounting on one of my bowl lights.

Electrical tape is your friend. Door bowl diffuser is only in with most likely hot glue. Mine popped out right away, the white diffuser fell inside the door panel. Was fortunate that I was able to recover it. Snapped it back in with the circuit board, piece of Electrical tape on the back to hold it on, and it was good to go. Probably better and more secure than the other three. ;)

I repaired it - soldered both connections again and reseated the diffuser. But, They should replace the damaged one they sent me. At least, in any normal world.

Ummmmm... yeahhhhhh... good luck with that one!

If we look up "caveat emptor" in the dictionary I'm sure you'll see her "business" listed as an example.

Oh, you soldered it? That voids the warranty, sorry.

I picked up the clearanced handle from date of order to delivery was about a week pretty quick. The handle looked great I used a m6 rivnut at the bottom was a tad bit tricky lining up the holes but overall took about 25 minutes was pretty straight forward. I saw reviews that the bolt covers can pop off and I can see why it’s the one part that is not great fitment. I have some butyl rubber handy if they pop loose not a big deal to me.

Has anyone installed the HUD on a 2020? The OBD port directly just gives me voltages until I start up the truck then its a blank screen. I took the dash apart to find the connection for the extra cable and there is no connections I can find with enough cables to make it work (there is one with a single wire going to it that has nothing attached to it so I don't think that is the one).

Doesn't the 2020 need the new cable she has been sending out that connects just behind the steering wheel?

I'm fairly sure. That's what I *think* I have (labeled 03K09) that came with mine (delivered last week).
Unfortunately, it's all a guessing game since the installation instructions are lacking. I just cannot find where it is supposed to connect.

EIDT: took the dash out and there isn't anything back there that matches this either. :/

The plug is located under the steering wheel. You need to turn the steering wheel to access the two screws.
