The real Mazda Bs were sweet. Got to take an MT for a spin a few times.

I was joking about the Ferd twins though. Still, the OG was better than the squat they dropped on us this time around.

Bit of a lull in the excitement. Good time to talk about the good old days. We won’t be able to contain ourselves when the first guy posts that his grabhandle has shipped. :drunk:

I've had my Ford Ranger now for 21 years. Even though I'm getting a new Tacoma (it's arriving this Wednesday or Thursday, according to the dealer!), I'm keeping the Ranger for the time being. I figure it's going to take six monthsDSC_0214a.jpg of customizing and modifying the Tacoma until it equals some of the features of the Ranger. The grab handles are one small component of this.

Good idea. The “regular” price looks a bit daunting. But that won’t matter when the current batch gets sold out, she may request another run and there’ll be no need for a sale. So, get ‘em while they’re hot.

93 B2200 here, IIRC the last year with the 2.2 liter engine, just before they went full Ranger clone. Base model, no electric anything, 5 speed, and 1 wheel drive if it got the slightest bit slippery. Put 275k miles on that thing over 20+ years, and my FIL is still driving it around the ranch.

The asymmetrical grab handle is just tacky. What is Toyota thinking? (I would prefer that they just leave it off entirely rather than have it on one side only.) At least now we have a way of correcting this "disturbance in the Force."

The left and right dash airbags are different with the steering airbag being smaller. If you look back at the posted test vids, there was a slight contact on the left side, so they deleted the left one.

Yeah, my old 5-speed ‘98 B2500 Cab+ (1998-2017) is still running around town somewhere. It’s a great farm truck
I agree with Nova though. It was lazy. They should have redesigned both sides. The grab handle is big and blocky compared to other gens, no?
I squeeze out of my truck in our narrow garage all the time, and I’ll be happy to have something to hang from. Save the bolsters!
