FYI, I opted not to make this due to liabilities with the airbag behind the handle:)
Glad someone is taking on the challenge though.

The handle/trim piece does not appear to interfere with the airbag support deployment. (Not my Taco)

    Hello, Folks.

I don't recall seeing this on the DAH website previously:

*Mold Production - projected to be completed Week of July 6th-10th, 2020.
*Product Production - projected to be completed Week of August 10th - 14th, 2020.
*Shipping by Sea - projected to arrive at my Door Step around September 14th, 2020.

    Good info!

Great info! I thought mold production was complete, but I guess that was prototyping completed... Good to see that the project is marching on and there's been some dates applied.

    Thanks!

The IG pic on the last page was of the trim mold being complete. It looks like they still need to make the handle mold. I wouldn't mind more details, but that schedule is sufficient for me.

I did wonder a long time ago if the RH handle needs to be mirrored or if it was symmetric top to bottom. I never got an answer there. NBD though.

It was a moderately big deal, but then KTJO was banned and the big thread regarding this handle design was locked. So, now it looks like this might be the place to look for updates. I'm looking forward to installing mine when it arrives.

It seems to be, as long as we keep it in good shape. I checked with the mods and they said this thread was still okay for updates.

    You're welcome!

With how hard the ban hammer hit, I was a little worried. :smash:

I don’t understand the purpose of the driver grab handle. Personally I wish they took off the passenger side too.

It’s for grabbing. For donkey punches. And all that.

You don't want to be yanking on the steering wheel all the time. IMHO, it isn't going to like it long term. I like the low roof line and feel of the cab, but getting in at tight spaces (door open to the first notch), it is a tough squeeze for me. The DAH would help there.

If it isn't for you, then that is okay also. It is great to have choices.

    What's Facebook? :D

A lot of us don't do social media. If you happen to see something, it would be great to post it here, if it isn't too much trouble.

    Thanks!

Has to do with line of sight/blind spot and possibly banging you head on it in accident.

It makes a lot more sense once you get 20 degree rock sliders, then stick grip tape on them. Really started wishing for a grab handle then.

Im with you here. I have sliders and 37’s and have never even thought about the need for a handle to help me get in.
