    Hey, Bert.

    Thanks for checking!

I am really interested to hear whatever those window harness parts are on the homepage. I would like to have them live all the time, or anytime the truck is unlocked? That has always been a wish for me with power windows. :D

The other weird thing with the Taco is that power flows to the windows while cranking but is cut to the radio? If I had to choice one there, the vice versa would be it, esp considering the H/U boot up.

Seriously? You're jilted that there is no other similar solution then come in here and take a dump on a production schedule that has been posted for over quite a while now (during a pandemic) and no dates yet missed?

    Some peeps . . .

I’m sick of it too. I’ll make you a plywood one. It’ll be unfinished so you can derp it to match your dreams. It’ll be FREE. Turnaround is 2weeks. Post your address here; other kind souls will likely send you other things to help keep you stimulated too.

I'm curious to see when KTJO's sale price is removed?

KTJO4X4's grab handles are in production and she expects the first rounds to go out in Sept.

Well, my comment is based out of her own post, instead of telling people is coming and shipping soon, I rather post that the ETA for shipments are indefinite from the manufacturer and as soon she receives a bulk shipment, is when she can update everyone. Some would agree with me as they have paid for this mod perhaps half a year ago and all they have in return is false expectation. Of course, the pandemic blame lol... I work for a worldwide distribution center and nothing has change in our behalf, we only held shipments for two month due to airports being closed, after that, business as usual and receiving shipments from all over the globe including China. Anyways, sorry for hurting your feelings but is my opinion as well.

Gimme one small-time TW vendor that has conformed to your expectations when developing a mod? I can't think of one, but am damn happy for the ones that I waited for.

It sounds like your are used to the Amazon game of delivering stuff already on shelves . . . This isn't a shipping issue. It is design, tooling, and manufacturing hurdles. Try it some time and be prepped for nothing but challenges.

You won't ever hurt my feelings, dood. But, you do show a weak level of critical thinking.

It's especially tough on her as she can't post here anymore to defend herself and her products. She is doing everything she can to deliver a quality, perfected product that she and the rest of us that have invested in her can proud of.

I can sympathize with both sides of the equation. As a small manufacturer and supplier of custom products, I'm aware of the upfront costs and capital investments needed to get the production going. I certainly understand the temptation of asking folks to pay upfront for something that may be months away - otherwise you have to front the money out of your own pocket.

But on the receiving end of it, I can see the frustration of waiting week after week and month after month, with usually the same answer - "soon!". It takes the patience of a saint to not get frustrated, so kudos to those of you who have that patience . But I also sympathize with those who don't.

Personally, I would not ask folks to pay for something that was months away from being ready. If I didn't have the funds to front the costs, I'd start a go-fund-me page, but not start taking orders. Taking an order implies the ability to deliver a product, not fund an evolving design effort. Full disclosure, when we came out with the 3rd Gen hood strut kit, we did offer it for sale on TW before it was on hand - but that was with a discount, and on a product that was already in production and was only awaiting powder coating.

Again, I don't mean to badmouth anyone, if anything, I totally sympathize with Katie and the challenges. I just see both sides of the argument.

Only the mods/admins know for sure, but I'm guessing they gave her the opportunity to properly identify herself as a vendor and such and she just never did it right. So eventually they had to ban her since she wasn't following the rules as they were set out and was just continuing to sell her products here. At least that is what it sounded like from the things I've seen. So she kind of brought it upon herself.

Hey all, I appreciate the conversation/debate on proper manufacturing/sales techniques, but let's keep this thread on topic. For quite a few grab handle buyers, this thread is the only source of production updates, so we don't need to muddy the water and risk getting it shut down.

    Thanks!

Small business production can be challenging. Balancing the working capital/investments with the potential demand. The only true way to know is take preorders. But it’s a double edge sword because Once you take money... customers(not all) can be very demanding.
My business model is unconventional, as I front 100% cost and risk. This way I have full control and no obligations to anyone. Katie is doing a good job at this and it can be overwhelming. Especially when you are not the direct manufacturer or the designer. Going back and forth on Prototypes, revisions, etc definitely adds time to a project.

I'm not looking at this as a negative thing... if it's not perfect... send it back. I'd rather wait an extra month or two, and get something high quality, rather than something that's "good enough". Carry on Katie!
