I moved back to "Ordered." Thought the OG would be better since I've moved past Label Purgatory...but I don't want to screw up the science! :D

Who knows what will happen with the USPS?

This was honestly one of the more pain free mods. I spent more time reading about all the horror stories than it took to order and install the product. I hope the kinks get worked out, so everyone else has an easy experience like I did!

Just got my grab handle in the mail. Ordered in October. Both covers included and preinstalled. Will make an attempt to install later this week.

For Science! is my rally cry.

Well, the poll choices are not in order anymore since I added the newer ones. OG is pre-bannage "Ordered" only. But hell, like the delivery order, any group of choices would be valid. Just be careful with that Magically Perfect choice.

After removing both sides more than once, my expectation versus reality was pretty warped. Still, bending metal to fit plastic trim is very outside my definition of PnP.

It's all good though. I can see your view.

You got lucky that you didn’t have any missing or damaged parts.
I just wish she would have at least responded to the email requesting a swap for the bolt covers. It’s been a week with no response. So, Tony (@tonered) and I are swapping ours. This means that we had to put them in a safe package and pay UPS to ship them. And still no response from ktjo4x4. anyone else get a response?

 Bending of the metal consisted of flexing the bolt while screwed in and slightly prying the tab with a screwdriver. :notsure: :benchpress: But, talk to me, Goose. We should create a log of folks who are experiencing problems, and work them out on our own, or with KTJO. I can help bring some of these situations to her attention.... ;)

    I don't want to get into the metal yielding / strength discussion again . . . :santa2:

Like I said, all perspectives are good. I just have a dim view of the handle and all this tantric build up as @Malvolio might say.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Can't even get a message a proper handle cover is or is not on the way. :bananadead: Too me, that is the seller saying: YOYO.

Does that interfere with the SRS in any way if it must deploy in a crash?

Sorry bud... we're not here to encourage more sales of this product... at least not until my GD order is fulfilled...

But in all sincerity, I'm guessing if it's not an issue for your passenger, then you'll be just fine.

No one can say with 100% certainty. But it seems like it should be OK. See post #23 from this thread. There were other discussions and speculations in other threads.

Edit: Wow, no! I stand corrected! Look at post #1213!! No interference at all.

FWIW, Just received an update from KTJO about outstanding orders:

I have just sent 60 this morning, I have 180 that I’m getting ready to print later today and ship them out tomorrow. I sent out 5 exchange orders today. I also sent out 8 regular orders today that have nothing to do with grab handles. You can send me the order numbers if you don’t mind, but I’m pretty sure they are probably in the next 189 I am printing. Once these are done, that will complete all orders that were on the pre-order list on the website.

Who is going to bet that their OG preorder goes out in the next 24 hours (or even 48 for that matter)? I know I wouldn’t put more of my money on it!

    Ordered January, 2020.

Got shipping label last night, but it's being sent to the wrong address. I emailed her a few months ago requesting a shipping address change and she acknowledged it. I also replied to the shipping address confirmation email, but I guess that was useless.

I'd like to give her the benefit of the doubt but this is frustrating.

I guess we’ll get our shipping email this week then? I wonder if the 189 is in addition to the 180? And when will we know for sure she has completed the list and we realize we been hosed?
