I think they are stressed out from all the frames they replace constantly.
I'd ditch the 2nd before it happens.

If most people want to sell a car asap after an accident why would one keep it after a frame replacement ?
Geeesh talk about the dealer touching everyting. No way imo.

Not just that it's once it's touched you never know what else they screwed up or didn't do right. You know the dealer stories on here lol.
I'd take the sunroof seal all day instead.

Because one truck has a leaky sunroof? Paint a bit wider with your brush please.

And people say spending $1000 on an extended platinum warranty is a waste of money :jerkoff:, one of the reasons I bought one on this Tacoma, new model with lots of new things that aren't cheap to fix or do yourself...sucks op, agree bs on a 2 year old truck but it is out of warranty and Toyota has every right not to help at all but they are which is more than almost any other brand would do for you in the same scenario.

Did you understand that you had a
3 years/36,000 miles (whichever comes first) warranty when you purchased the truck?

Sucks it happens, but it’s your truck.

Count your lucky stars it’s not a Chevy Ford or Dodge.

Most leaks are caused by plugged drains. You’re probably one of the few who actually keep the drains clean or don’t park under trees and places crap can build up and clog the drains and tubes. Regardless it’s a hole in the roof. Water always takes the path of least resistance. At some point a seal or drain can clog and when it does, you’re gonna get a leak. Could be 20 days or 20 years That’s why I say it’s a matter of when, not if.

Some warranties are worth the money. But where people go wrong is buying them right off the bat. If you buy an extended 5 year warranty your overlapping the coverage of the factory warranty. So that 5 year warranty just became a 2 year. Your better off buying the warranty just before the factory one expires.

I have a 2001 Toyota Celica GTS with over 180000 miles on it, it has not had a good and easy life, its been raced hard,(lots of body flex) power drifted. had to have the 6sp.Man. trans overhauled. replaced power door lock actuators, both doors, but the Power sunroof works and seals as good as it did when it was new.

That's not how the toyota one works. The year and mileage is from the date you bought the truck or it was sold, not from the date of warranty purchase. So if you purchase a 6yr/125000 mile warranty at the end of your bumper to bumper its from day one its not an additional 6yr/125000 miles. It makes no difference when you purchase it within the 3yr/36000 mile window, it will still expire at 6yr/125000 miles after when the truck left the lot or whatever yr/mileage you buy.

The reference to that is if it was one of the Big Three, you would be paying 100%

I’ll try an air hose to blow out the the drain holes and see what happens

You can probably use a small CO2 tank with a hose attached to clear drains I used this trick at a restaurant I used to manage many years ago.

    Hmm,reconsidering the premium package now.

Might not be worth the hassle

Went with no package. Saved lots of money when I purchased my 4x4 OR. At first I wanted the sunroof along with the bells and whistles. Luckily I swayed away from them knowing I’d never really use them. I even forget that I have a rear camera for parking and only notices it when I’m done reversing. Lol

I have one and never use it. Not sure if that's good or bad for the seal lol
