It was him and one other dude and himself only then he hired a couple guys one was pretty decent the other learning. He kept changing designs to speed production and ease of assembly up. Didn't take into account structure or strength. I wouldn't blame the welders

Good thing my skids and and sliders are good. Only design I didn't care for was that you had to drill holes in the frame for the t-case skid

The quality is hardcore. The metal and the metalworking. I didn't get PC or Berliner from them.

Eddie is a straight guy. He's not the stealing kind. I know he was working hard to get everything out since some of his employees didn't want to work and he couldn't find anyone who could weld with quality so he ended up doing everything himself. If there's a lack of communication I know its 100% because he knows that its better to hurry up and finish the work than to go on a computer and reply to emails.

You must’ve missed the part where he took peoples’ money, didn’t fulfill the orders, and sold the company.

Side note, if anyone reads this and owns a business; don’t operate on the idea of “it’s better to just slave away at the work, and disregard all communication”. I get what you mean, but when you as a business owner can’t take 5 minutes to update your website, make a social media post, mass email all pending orders, set an auto reply to incoming emails, giving at the very least a brief explanation of circumstances/new lead time expectancy, you deserve for your business to fail. The vast majority of people are understanding and reasonable when you just act in honesty. I commend you for vouching for your friend. You’re a good guy. But your friend is not.

Im gonna go back to where I was before I saw this thread, which is out of it.

What I can tell you guys, is that when a company gets bought, the new buyer also buys the debt that that company has. Find out who that other company/individual is and request your money. Small claims court would be the way I would go about it. You don't need a lawyer, aslong as you're able to demonstrate that you purchased a product and haven't received it. You notify the person who defrauded you however you want, show your evidence, and get your money back. (Pro Tip: Notify them via your local news paper, its cheap, official, and since they more than likely will never see it they won't show up to court and you automatically win)

Gonna check out as well, as to not add any more fuel to the fire; hoping for the best for all involved.

I ordered my rock sliders from SOS on November 8, 2021 or 5 months and 6 days ago.

When I reached out to them on Feb 5, 2022, via email I received the following message on Feb 13, 2022:

"My apologies on the delay in production , and appreciate your patience with SOS on wait time. We are very short staffed at the moment. Your sliders are in the next batch that will be starting up this coming week.
    Thanks again"

I then emailed them on March 22, 2022 for an update and never received a reply.

I then used their website on April 11, 2022 and also sent a message asking for a status update (see attached screenshot).

I just checked their website today (April 13, 2022) and no one has responded.

I am now just reading this thread and I'm not feeling a warm and fuzzy.

I hope he is still working and trying to get his orders filled. I just wish he would have told me the truth when he emailed me back on Feb 13, 2022.

Other folks have been having good luck so far getting a refund without a struggle, hope it's the same for you

I just noticed Google is showing two different locations for this company. Now, these could be two different companies; both are in SC but different counties. One of the sites is showing SOS as permanently closed. One is not showing them closed. Could be many reasons. Just wanted to share with others.sos offroad concepts google reviews - Google Search 2022-04-13 10-21-59.jpgsos off road concepts sc - Google Search 2022-04-13 10-09-10.jpg

The closed location is his old shop. He used to live near Charleston.
