Buyer Beware: Southern Retrofits / LSC15

Just out of curiosity...

Would it be possible to add some red switchback tubes to the stock '17 Sport tail lights that I could wire into the DRL circuit (as rear-facing DRLs)?

I'm slightly paranoid. I've only been in 3 noteworthy accidents in my life (and I'm old), and each time it was being struck from the rear. Thought it might be nice to get people's attention back there.

What shrouds and size ring is that behind it? I love how simplistic this is. I did a retrofit years ago and now I want to do another one with something like this. Is it possible to make that ring a DTRL and then an amber blinker as well?
Would this shroud and ring fit in a 2nd gen?

 

The answer to last two questions is yes. It’s an Apollo 3.0 with 100mm rear halo

 

I’m afraid to total all of these options up in my head in their proper dollar sign symbols.
But TW is just pure evil

 

Be very careful to ask the right questions.

Early model 2nd gens only have two wires connected to the DRL/Turn signal. U'll be up shat creek (like myself) if u want to make halos DRL and keep stock turn signal.

 

If you have a stock DRL then yes you can tap into that for halo power. I am not saying anything to get people to buy. You can always wire them to be DRLs. You can wire them to ignition wire or some other power source that is always on like that. I would appreciate if you refrain from making accusations on my page

 

You can also wire the white to parking light and have power with that and halo still blink amber with turn signal. Very simple wiring

 

This is an 05 model and the halo is on like a DRL and look at that it blinks amber too

What do you use to paint the chrome black and not let it gas up the inside of the headlight? @LSC15

 

I use professional paint and clear coat. It won’t gas up lens with paint if you let it cure before putting lenses on
