I don't have buyers remorse but I hate the composite bed. When I damaged it I assumed it was just a plastic insert, boy was I wrong. Line-X to follow.

Well at 300 miles developed cyclic vibration. Needle bearing replacement at 350 miles. Started again at 500 miles. Now waiting for dealer to install ecgs bushing. Hope that's the only problem I have :annoyed:

My only regret is that when they designed a tacoma they made a point of making sure that you are REALLY limited in towing capacity and certainly not for 5th wheel towing.

Imagine the joy on faces of people if only toyota tacoma could be used for a 5th wheel. There would be a flurry of people running to rv dealerships upgrading their travel trailers to small 5th wheels. I certainly would. Instead we only have rather pointless scamp trailer.

Other than that there is nothing to complain about.

I will have to admit I sold my 3rd gen limited yesterday, bought it new in October. With all the money I was into it I was able to break even with the sale luckily. I really liked the truck but it was missing the 4.0. I have also owned four 2nd gens too.

I will be purchasing a 14' Ram Laramie with the cummins. I originally had a 15' duramax before the Tacoma but I commute a lot and with the emissions removed and tuned I can see mid 25+ mpg with the ram. I kinda miss having a full size too.

I kinda kick myself for selling my 3/4 ton diesel 24v 5spd. It was just a tad too much for what I needed anymore...

Now I see you had a leveling kit, tires and wheels put on your Tacoma. Did it ever occur to you that this might have an impact on your mpg

Yep. I got 17-18 without it, in a truck rated for 24, and it still shifted constantly trying to stay at highway speeds. Thought I could deal with it, until I found a deal I couldn't pass up

The only thing I would have "buyers remorse" about is the stupid fucking 4wd button.. It's a bitch to get into 4low compared to a transfer case stick shift.. Why Toyota?????????? wtf is with the stupid 4wd button?? 4wd on demand, more like 4wd maybe.. If the truck feels like it.. and the locker engage button is a whole different joke.. Besides those two issues, it's been a decent truck for the first year @ 26k

Did you push in and turn the 4wheel LO button. Also did you make sure you were in N before engaging to 4L. Unlike the 4wheel hi you just turn the knob to 4hi
