I love my SR Tacoma. However I really hate that I didn't pull the trigger and get the V6 SR5. The price tag held me back but I know now I should have gotten It. This will probably be the last new vehicle I ever buy new. I wonder if I have lost anything in value at this point? I have less than 500 miles on the truck. I feel like an idiot.

It is done. Don't beat yourself up about it. Put it behind you and move on.

The dealer will be happy to take your SR back and sell you a SR5 V6. You won’t know the penalty until you try.

Not too many upgrades on an SR5 that you cant retro install yourself for less money. That's where I'd start. Guess you cant change the engine but you can add intermittent wipers, fogs, rims, and a new HU relatively inexpensively

You'll be fine. Wait a year though then trade up. I used the equity in my taco to upgrade to the tundra I wanted in the first place. The taco holds its value extremely well.

Such is life.. We all make dumb decisions. Sure you will lose some coin on trade in, but can't put a price on happiness.

    Good luck with your decision.

if it's truly going to be the last vehicle you own then the money loss trading up shouldn't be much of a concern. get what you want.

No matter what you’ll take a hit, how much is up to you. Tacomas hold their value really well but at this point your truck is not new so a dealer will price is as such. My suggestion is to keep it for a year or two and then step up the SR5 you wanted. You could even buy a used one down the road if you don’t want new.

Sell as soon as possible before even more depreciation sets in and get a very used SR5, OR, Sport, whatever you want. Put the extra money in your Roth IRA ;)

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

What complaints/regrets. What do you not have with that truck that you are looking for?

A lot of members mentioned that its not a big difference in power between 3.5 and the 2.7.

Edit: i needed MT so i had to get the v6. If they offered MT with the 4cyl in cunuckistan, i would definitely consider it.

Sure you can....The price in this case will be the depreciation hit of the old truck added to the price of the new truck. Simple ;-)

Well I really wanted a V6. My truck didn't come with keyless entry, integral wipers or even fog lights. No tow package. I feel like I settled for less because of monthly payment. I went with my gut but don't feel g ood about it now.
