Is he set on a prerunner? That does seem a little high for that truck. If he can tell him to hold out for a 4x4.

If you that 04 you saw was 4x4 then it was a good deal. I got my 99 4x4 Trd xtra cab with 156K for $7000. Tacos are expensive, especially in my area.

Especially in California. If you can find one with relatively low miles and the options you want then pull the trigger. I think 10k for that 4x4 is a pretty good deal.

edit: you didn't say if it were 4x4 or not. =\

I thought I did pretty good, the kid I got it from I guess just drove it back in forth to work the under side is almost as clean as the top side. In the 9 months or so I have had it I have already put 14,000 or so miles on it

Called the dude back after looking at it and mentioned it had main seal leak and one ball joint leaking. brought price down to 5500.00. sometimes I think I got a good deal other times I wish I had more time to shop around.
