The problem with finding and buying a Gen1 is that so many people want these great trucks that they still command a hefty price tag. As with everything though, you get what you pay for, and a primo Gen1, if you can find one, will last as long as you want to drive it, will take you wherever you want to go and get you back virtually trouble free, and when at last you're ready to part with it you'll recover most if not all you've invested in it.

How do I know? ..I've got one, a well set up '03 V6 DC 4x4 SR-5 TRD that I paid $16k for going on 10 years ago, and people have offered me exactly what I paid for it if I'd sell it to them today!

But, I ask myself, why sell it when it does exactly what I want it to do for me here in Arizona's high country, and is one of the most bullet proof vehicles I've ever owned in every way?!..

So, if you do find a good one don't hesitate - it won't last long!
