    You might know this already,
Just get a dryer sheet and go to town. If you are not familiar...........
Take a used dryer sheet and in the same soap mix you wash your car with just dunk it and wash the bug guts with it. Wash all of it with the soap and sponge afterwards.

me thinks yes this can leave swirl marks since the sheet will pick up everything. I think a good cleaner such as 409 or road/bug/tar remover would probably be easier and safer. Sometimes those guts get really stuck though and you have to scrub. Oh Well that just give you an excuse to break out the polisher.

:smack: Why don't you try it first Mcfly..............Although I have a white truck, I have never noticed any swirl marks. Used dryer sheets are soft as a baby's a%*.

Don't do this. Ever. That's as bad as using a paper towel on your paint. What's next, wet sand paper is better for your paint than dry sand paper?

Chrome and the clear coat on your paint are two entirely different things.

This is what I was thinking....even wet it seems to me it would be pretty abrasive. I would like to know if anyone has tried this on a black truck to see the difference in the results??

Why dont you test it in the door jam on a spot you can see. Remember this is done with a used sheet. Once you get it wet and soapy it is very soft and I don't see any swirls anywhere on my truck. To each their own..
There is an entire thread on this here...

Again, get sand paper wet and it's still the same grit. No way in HELL would I take a dryer sheet to my vehicle's paint and I don't care what threads are on it and who says what. Bugs aren't that hard to get off that I would even consider risking clear coat damage with such a device. Soap, water and a applicator designed for vehicle paint. If there's anything that can't take off them clay bar it. These are time tested methods which don't cost much at all so there's no reason to even attempt other items. None.

Paper towels don't leave swirl marks on my car. If there are any, 5 seconds with a rotary buffs them all out :)

So which is it? They don't leave them or you gotta buff them out? This is getting ridiculous now. OP, enjoy your new truck... I'm out!

Not cool: I answered the question and you start with name calling, immature.

90% sure the OP was joking about the bugs..no need to start throwing out suggestions..certainly no need for a bug removal debate.

    welcome home OP..!!
