I really like this guy and normally am on board with what he has to say. After taking a manual taco off-road and dealing with it in I-95 through DC traffic I gotta say I’m kind of on board with Rob

I can't stand Rob Motive's videos. I have not found a good tacoma youtuber yet.

ToyotaJeff in Raliegh is the worst.

And Mike C just talks about the looks of the Truck.

There are opinions in there that anyone could have. I do think some of it was misdiagnosis, like the clunkiness.

Also, the clutch accumulator has to die.

The value discussion is extremely speculative, but like he said, it doesn't matter if you never sale. :D

Test drove a 3-pedal ‘19 Wrangler JL and ‘19 Tacoma (former 2013 Wrangler owner) and I have to agree. The JL wins this round with its new and improved shifter with 50% shorter shifter and its cable operated design.

I agree with him about the 2020 AT. I still love driving a manual transmission - have '96 Z3 that cures my itch for that. AT this point in my life the AT is better for me as a daily driver. And, having lived in the DC area for 8 years, driving a MT in that traffic every day would be brutal.

I enjoy my manual truck. Wouldn't want an auto. His opinion means nothing to me. I find his videos useless. Some people like them and I guess that is all that matters to him.

Haha! He made me laugh. That guy needs to learn how to drive MT.

if your taco is always clunky when you shift, you are not an experienced driver, need to work on your footwork. It happened to me with the accumulator here and there, but with the ADM its almost perfect.

It is quiet when i drive as well. I love this MT, except for the high reverse ratio of course.:D

I’m 24, so yes you’re older than me. And the clunk is literally inevitable, nothing to do with how you drive it. And just because you’re a trucker or have driven sports cars does not mean you have any credibility lol

If its inevitable for you, learn how to drive MT , clearly you are still inexperienced. Ask your mommy or daddy.

Edit: if you wanna drive clunky tranny, go drive a ford ranger and report back.

I took a manual third gen for a spin when my truck was at the shop. I thought it was fine, it is wayyyyyy better than what the second gen came with.

That being said, my auto is fine and I like it.
