Every time I get in a Tesla I want to RIP the tablet off the dash and throw it out the window. I can't believe they sell that crap to the public.

My millennial friends and I are big fans of that screen. Yes I look like a tool but the center screen is bigger than my bedroom television

Jesus this thread; and it's not even Friday.

I had an 06 6 speed that grinded into third by the time I sold it at 92k. That, and the difficulty that a clutch provides while trying to do delicate, low speed manuevers on a slope got me to get the auto on my 16. No regerts. I hope the new 6 speed is better than the last one for any of you that got one.

Here is my line about how someone's opinion is wrong and they need to get their life together, and some other insult about generational stuff.

    stock a fawk!
You’d be pretty hard pressed to find ANY car that works after that!

edit: take that back. Apparently it’s a thing to make modern cars withstand EMPs

I knew he would hit those points. I sent him a message about what is normal for the truck and how you have to shift it properly. The issue is mainly driver error. He lost me when he mentioned the manual did not have more pull than the auto. I own both an auto and a manual Tacoma and the manual definitely has more pep.

I drove 2.5 hours for a manual. I did not settle for the automatic.

I agree with you. You step on it, it'll go! MPG tanks, but oh well. I normally drive pretty conservative, but when I need it, it's good enough.

That 12 inch screen in the Ram is nice. I think eventually it'll be all video screens.

Well, we all know the cycle of TW. Considering that tomorrow is friday, you must expect a thread on:
    • I fit 33s on stock suspension, no mods, no rubbing.
    • Horrible gas mileage with a lift.
    • Entune is garbage.
    • Or just might be a pleasant surprise...

I will also add that when other Tacoma owners look at my truck they wonder how I was able to get a manual. I let my wife drive my truck all the time. Recently i asked her about what she thought. She said it shifts smooth, easy engagement and has a positive feel when gears are shifted. I asked does it feel clunky? She said no... she used to drive a 2013 jeep wrangler manual and she said she preferred the Tacoma. My wife has perfect shifting and feel for driving manual... one of the many reasons I love her.

I know, i thought about it too. Best of both worlds maybe? :notsure:

Jokes aside, I do feel like i dont belong in that generation at all though, no offence to anyone.

I agree with everything you said - except letting the wife drive it. Mine doesn't want to, and I'm good with that. She has her own car. I don't need her scratching my paint backing into something.
