Ok, you’re right..... I’m POSITIVE the good old 2012 with the great enhancement feature of “limp mode” so when you’re cruising along on the highway at 70mph, it’ll just randomly kick in and plummet you to 10mph.

    Happy?

Anyways, I think you could get the price down for sure. It is pretty clean, so you'll have to play it by ear. Like everyone says, it's worth really depends on how bad you want it. It's age and demand might make it a bit difficult, especially depending on your area.

Well toyota is well known for ditching innovation while messing on simple things.

Frame rust, loose suspension, awkward seating, worst interiors, mediocre sound and head units, tinfoil tailgate, subpar interior lighting, gas hog v6, breaking leafs, terrible interior switches, lego plastic dash materials, 2000s design, no lock tailgate, incandescent bulbs instead of leds, failing steering wheel clockspring, 6v rear camera? Wtf, bottoming suspension, unrefined ride, noisy engine mechanical fan, no gas flap lock...
    Want more or what?

Toyota at least replaces the frames, every car has rust after a few years in the rust belt - I don't know of any manufacturers that give a shit.

    Lets look at the competition:
-Fords ecoboosts blow up by 100k
-GM -> electrical and engine problems
-Dodge -> million little things like belts, suspension, heater core, etc.

All trucks have issues, at least these ones can reliably get to 300k+ miles without major repairs.

If l complained about my Tacoma like some other people complain about there's, I'd sell it so l could stop complaining.
There's no way I'd keep a vehicle that I hated that much.

I absolutely love my Tacoma, but I’m also a realist.

Haven owned my truck for 10 years since I bought it with 33 miles on the odometer, you learn everything about it. Both positives and negatives. Unlike people that have only owned their truck for a short period of time and know very little about their trucks. I’m not saying I’m an expert about our trucks by any means, but I know I can give an educated detailed opinion rather than just “they’re awesome go buy one”

Just need to take off those rose colored glasses

That they didn't, my '10 got inspected and CRC..have to get a 2nd inspect before Sept 21 to determine if needs a reframing. I know people who have gotten the same bulletin for newer trucks, I think '14 was the newest.

I've never thought of my Tacoma as perfect either. I've never had blinders on about any vehicle that l've owned. They've all had their issues, and l accept it, as long as they're not costing me a lot of cash in constant repairs.

I've personally never thought that my Tacoma was the best vehicle in the world. I'm sure that some do. I guess that depends on the luck of the draw. You can get a lemon or a good one, or anything in between.

I had an F-150 that l never had one issue with. While l know others have had nothing but problems. It definitely depends on who you ask about any particular vehicle.

I've never been one to live or die a specific brand of vehicle. But, l know some people that do. I can only speak of my personal experience.

Some people go overboard with the absolute love of the Tacoma, while others go overboard with the contempt. l guess each one of us has our reasons for feeling the way thst we do.

When l heard of the issue of the Secondary Air pump, l ran out to check. Lucky me my Tacoma doesn't have it.

My comment about people hating their vehicles probably shouldn't have quoted you. But l did because your commentt reminded me think of the very negative comments that some people seem to akways make.

    No offence intended.

If the frame is good....which it looks to be....and definitely look into the secondary air injection pump issue, as others have said.

But with that kind of mileage and being 8 years old, it's probably already been addressed.

    Seems like a nice truck

Me the ranter, have a 2015 dcsb. I hate the.interior, stock stereo and speakers were changed and still JBL speakers sound unbelievably awful. Door tin can have huge holes that could have fitted with covers because around it they have plastic clip holes. Well toyota didnt install any covers and speakers have no bass. Great JBL GTO speakers with a kenwood HU.

What ive seen on this trucks is the willingness to not polish anything or make them modern and frugal. Like motor fan. They resorted to a 1980 system with a continous fan that saps power like hell, instead of a electric fan.

Things like that is why i hate this truck.

And cannot change it as i wont spend.more.money on a truck i barely use it for towing a boat and hauling stuff twice a month. I paid full price at 2017 being a 2015 model, since prices went to the roof because currency devaluation. New 2017 trucks would have been like 30% more
