Looking to buy a used truck for my sister. We are looking at a 2012 tacoma regular cab, auto, 4x4, 250,000 miles. $6,500. She doesn't need much, just something reliable to get around town. I know it has a lot of miles, but if it is clean, good frame, and drives good, should we go for this? Thanks.

V6 or 4 cyl? Make sure all the maintenance has been done and look it over good for leaks, frame rust and other potential issues.
Seems kinda high for that millage but with what used vehicles are going for atm that's probably about right.

Same. Mileage seems high to me. I drive a 99 Taco with that same mileage  priced well, not sure what the market is out there. Just know that the more miles on the truck, the more you'd have to look out for or the sooner you'd be replacing things. I agree with Dm93. Always good to see maintenance done and checking for leaks and what might need to be replaced soon, ie suspension parts.

See if you can find out how the truck managed to accumulate that many miles. Pizza or auto parts delivery? Towed behind a motor home? Long distance highway commute?

Buy it, the chip alone in it could be worth half the asking price now.

we just test drove it. The truck is in ROUGH shape. The horn doesnt work, the radio doesnt work, the 4x4 takes forever to engage/disengage, the shifter is very sticky/hard to change gears, it smells like burning oil, the steering wheel needs to be turned nearly a quarter turn to the left to make the truck go straight, and a few more issues, but the answer is already no. Thanks for the responses.
