Is there a way to re-enable it if they actually leave it in there?

You know what, I've been thinking that too for the longest time. I almost feel like there is like a jumper fuse or fusible link or something but do not know where to source buying it. On both my Toyotas there is a little black device right under dash with a wire running to it and I feel like that is where they remove the fuse when they disable the system.

They install a blank that thing mounted on the bottom of the dash that disables it. You need a "key" that goes in there to enable it. And I assume some remotes too.

Yeah it has the tech, but no premium package. Would have loved the features but I didn't want to lose the headspace from having the sunroof and of course didn't want to pay extra for it. Very very happy with everything so far! JBLs would have been nice, but apart from that its perfect. Not looking for steps right now, but thanks!

Oh ok. So you pretty much got around the same deal I got. I just opted for 2 wd with premium tech package which is added $3k and the 4wd usually adds $3k. But I think our trucks were close to same MSRP. I've just always wanted a truck with a sunroof and finally got it. As much as people debate the different combo trucks I'm just glad that we do have options. Not only in packages but in our colors. That quicksand is awesome though. Any plans for your first mods?

Yeah my wife was pushing hard for the premium package. Maybe on the next one!

Gonna start with the basics like weathertech floor mats, a bed mat, and blacking out emblems. Would like to get a diamondback bed cover and toyo/ nitro tires at some point!

Yeah I would recommend anyone who has the KARR alarm (either paid-for or "bypassed") should pull it out and re-solder your car's kill wire together. At some point the cheap and amateur crimp/taps may come loose and your car won't start. Not to mention your car has a kill function built into the Body Control Module which is more secure and harder to beat. It took me about an hour to pull the couple of dash pieces off and pull the taps out, tape over the little cuts in the factory wires and re-solder the factory kill wire together and heat-shrink it. A decent car audio shop could do this for $100 or less and you have piece of mind this borg parasite won't assimilate your truck sometime in the future.
