    Hey,

There are currently two Tacoma's im looking into. One is an 07 Dark blue Trd, 24,000 miles, extended cab, long bed, v6 4x4 manual. The other is a '10 black sr5 4,000 miles extended cab long bed v6 4x4 manual. Both trucks are great, and Im kinda leaning towards the '10 because it is almost new, I really like the black color, and its a 4x4 manual v6. And they are asking only 1,000 more than the 07 trd. I really wanted a trd, but the '10 sr5 is such a good deal. What are the main difference between the two trucks, and how will the '10 sr5 compare to the 07 trd?

For the money, I'd go with the 2010. They're both 4x4, so unless you need the features of a TRD, that's a good deal. The TRD will have different seats, an outlet in the bed and a bunch of off-road oriented add-ons that someone with a TRD will have to chime in on (Rear locker, ATRAC, etc). I have the SR5 4x4 and for what I use it for, it's been perfect so far.

There seems to be no difference between the two trucks except for the miles, color, year, and TRD. That's not very many miles on the '07. The locking rear differential will be very useful if you plan to offroad this truck very much, as will the TRD suspension, and the interior is nicer IMO on the TRD. Can you get them to drop the price on the '07 any?

I'd also go with the 2010. It's not even broken in yet.

If the 07' looks like its been taken care of, i'd say go for the truck with the extras. I had an SR5 before and always wished i had gone with the TRD.

Yeah, I think we could talk them down on the 07. But then again the 10' is so low milage.
I definately would prefer a trd tho

It's a TRD Sport and doesn't appear to have a locker. The locker button is to the left of the steering wheel correct? Doesn't appear to have the button for it, just the hill start assist and the bed outlet. No ATRAC or locker? I'd go for the 2010 unless you really really really want that hood scoop.

Its a very tough choice, if they agree to come down on the price for the 07, then id go for it. but otherwise I might have to go with the black 10'

either way, both are excellent trucks, and appear to be in excellent condition.

They're both access cabs. You can't get a manual in the double cab long bed.

I'd have to agree with PkTaco. Based on the fact that the 07 is a TRD Sport, not an off road, I'd go with the '10 for the price being so close. It is practically new.

Just FYI, looks like the '07 was a lease and definitely did some major hauling by the looks of the bed. I'd go with the newer one due to less wear/tear and you can always do upgrades later, like most of us on TW.

My 1/2 a cents worth Hands down for 1000 more the 2010. Buy someones bilstiens and coils after they do a lift and hit sockmonkey up for the trd decals cause that's the only difference in the sr5/trd sport. Isn't like you can fit bigger tires on the trd or anything like that. Buy the 2010 = longer toyota certified warranty for you also!!

sadly, I've only put Husky Liners in it thus far - tend to blow all my cash on my bikes and guitars.
Definitely the '10.......between fact warr. and less mileage, not to mention the TRDsport pkg isn't all that - I ordered my '08 with the sport pkg, and if I had to do it again I'd have went with the TRD offroad -- suspension components can be bought used if need be, as well as a locker if you HAVE to have it.
