Yeah. Wife and I had 3 cars for a few years. Hers, my truck, and a small commuter.

I sold the commuter and bought a boat. I don't miss the commuter, but she does.

    Very nice!
I always prefer to have a second car, just in case. My extra right now is a 99 Boxster.

I used to have a second car as a toy (first a Corvette, then an old MR2) but honestly both cars were more work, money and hassle than they were worth. I understand the urge to have a toy, but at this point in my life I'm really enjoying the simplicity of life with just one good, reliable vehicle that I enjoy driving and use for it's intended use so often.

I have 3 and would do it again. One for every thing I want. 2011 Tacoma I love and use for everyday truck stuff, winter, and if my girlfriend is working she takes it (2 mins down the road). I have a 2007 Yaris "Yary-911" I use to bomb around everywhere and blow kms (miles) that dont get wasted on my other vehicles and it gets 40 mpg. Then I have my 3500 chev dually "Oreos truck" (RIP girl) I use for anything camping, towing, etc. My vehicles dont get much mileage on them and hold their value. I put 38000kms on the Yaris last year so Thats directly off what would have been on my truck.
Also, life is too short to worry about this stuff, just buy it, love it and drive it, and if you get tired of it sell it. Simple as that. Took m years to realize this but just last month I bought a dirtbike because I was bored and wanted one to try. I stopped thinking about it and just said fuck it, I can afford it LETS GOOOOO

My truck is paid off, and I'm just waiting 2 years for the kid to turn 18 and be done with child support. Her college is already saved for and I want a new mustang GT myself. Had an 01 and it was just fun to drive. I love the taco, but commuting in a lifted Tacoma with MT's is getting old.

Yeah the new 5.0 ate amazing. I used to have a 2013 5.0 premium and loved it. The 2015+ 5.0s are super awesome

for whatever reason, an extra car which is paid off is better than paying for a rental any day of the week

I've got a one car garage that's full of tools and boxes and furniture. Everything is parked outside... at least I have a big, flat driveway for fixing stuff.

Just curious, the taco has always been garaged, but with the cobra it may have to move outside

I wish I had extra garage space for all the junk and the truck and car... maybe the next house.

I have a 88 Mustang LX Hatch as my 2nd car. I've owned it since 2005 and bought it while living in San Diego. Original Cali car, HCI, Paxton SC'd now. Waiting for tune before I drive it more. But, it's very uncomfortable to drive, especially now with the AC delete.

I had a second car for a while and it was more of a hassle than it was worth.

Something would break and I'd let it sit for weeks at a time before I got around to fixing it, or I just wouldn't feel like rearranging the driveway to get it out.

The second car ended up costing me ~$6500 over a three year period (purchase price, repairs, licensing, insurance, maintenance) before the transmission smoked itself and I was done with the headache. I maybe drove it 30-40k in those three years.

Next time around I'll just take my extra 6500 and use it for the down payment on a new vehicle and repeat every 150-175k miles or whenever the taco gets to a point where I get nervous about taking it on long distance trips.

The cobra is a little different than a 2002 Honda Civic and I gather you planning on relying on it as your DD. If I didn't have a sailboat to occupy my free time I'd consider entertaining the thought of an old Land Rover in the garage.
