DCSB I4 prerunner comes with a 3.55 rearend. only the I4 4x4 autos use 4.10 in this generation. I've driven both the 2nd gen and 3rd of this config the difference is night and day.

    No.

My 2013 had 4.10s, so unless they somehow changed rear ends for 2014 MY, then you're confused.

This truck isn't 4x4. Its a Prerunner. It has 4.10s.

Maybe the manual trans trucks had the lower ratio, but not the truck in question.

    I wondered about the 4speed vs 6speed.

I'm trying very hard to stay under $25K OTD and have not had any luck finding anything except Access Cab SR within my price range.

I'm going to stop by a local dealer today and check out a 17 access cab to see how the carseat situation would work as this is my biggest reason for a DBCB. We have a "family" SUV that we take on trips but I still have my kids in the car daily for short trips.

My fault. I was thinking 5 lug non-prerunner.

My daily commute is, mostly highway, roughly 450 miles per week. (23,000 mi/yr)

I got 22-23 stock with a high of 28, with my gas and my driving style/region.

When I put bigger tires on it, I went down to 17-17.5, combined or all highway it didn't really change much.

    First kid?

You'll be underserved by an access cab.

No, 4 y/o in a forward facing and a 1 y/o in a rear facing for atleast another 10 months.

I rarely have a passenger with the kids (and my wife is 5' 1") so I'm not opposed to pushing up the front passenger seat.

    Eh.

I'd take both seats with you for test drive day and install both and see what you think.

    Dunno.

    I had a 4.10, and I don't know anybody with a DCSB 2.7 auto Prerunner that doesn't have a 4.10. There's a thread of owners.
