I'm shopping for a new V6 DCLB. What major (non-cosmetic) differences are there between the base Prerunner and TRD Sport?

I'm kind of leaning toward the NON-TRD Sport. I don't need a hood scoop or color matched bumpers. But I'd probably buy the TRD OR if they made it in the LB.

Please chime in on why you love the TRD Sport or the base Prerunner?

I'll be selling my 2002 V8 Tundra TRD as soon as I buy the Taco. The new Tundras are too big for my taste.

1989-1999: 1989 Toyota Truck Regular Cab, 4 cyl. (rear leaf spring lift, anti-sway torsion bars, 30"(? been a while) tires with cheap wheels, KYBs, etc., tiny steering wheel (WTF?)
1999-2004: 1999 Tacoma TRD Prerunner Extra Cab w/SC. That truck was so sweet with once I put the SC on it!
    2004-present: 2002 TRD Tundra AC V8

The only advantage of buying a TRD sport PreRunner is the LSD axle and TRD SUSPENSION!!!!!! Other than that nothing really. I have a 05 non-TRD PreRunner and mine came with the mechanical LSD. It won't pull you out or get you over rocks but it has worked for me in iffy situations. The sport is pretty much cosmetic. The TRD OR has the locker. In my own opinion the offroad is a better buy than the sport.

Too bad there's no DC Off-road long bed. That's what I really want.

Bummer, I loved the rear locker on my '99 PreRunner but hated the Extra Cab and haven't been much of a fan of the Access Cab on my Tundra. But I need a long bed for work, house, camping, motorcycle/vintage scooters and such.

I want 4 real doors and a full size bed that can get out and play in the desert.

Anyone else who wanted this, what did you buy and mod?

I bought a new Sport in 07. I don't know if the same is true but the seats on the Sport and the OR were different from the stock seats. The actual seat was different and the material on the seat was also different. I'm 6' 4" and the Sport seat fit my much better than the stock seat.
