Do any of y'all get a little wierded out by what should be a killer truck at a decent price that has just been sitting on the same little used car lot? I haven't had the chance to check it out yet, but its been listed for several weeks. 04 DC 4x4 V6 90k miles for 12k. Am I the only one that red flags start flying up at this point? The pictures even look half decent... I'm at a loss

Just go look at it, get a Carfax and go from there. Mine came from one of those little car lots too. Got a decent deal and no regrets.

    No...

I’m turned off by brand new cars on dealer lots.

Used cars are used cars and all need to be inspected and test driven. Doesn’t matter where they come from.

Craigslist is the sketchiest way to buy a car to me.

A sketchy lot is great to me because typically the people who buy at those lots don’t buy Toyotas so you can get a good deal.

not really, got my bmw from a whole seller in ga. 1 owner & clean. most of these guys go to auctions or pay cash to owners down on their luck. as mentioned above, do your homework, test drive, carfax, take mechanic, etc.
    got my 1 owner taco from a dealer in n"awlins, 180k & run'n strong!

Those little lots can be bad and some good. I left carmax to get my other truck appraised and a guy that owns a lot a few blocks away saw me and stopped me at the light asking to look at it and offered 2k more.

Just check it out thoroughly. Look at their shop and see what they are doing when you are there. Are they working on cars like maintanance or are they covering shit up?

I got mine from a little used car dealer I found through craigslist :) ...

There was a cherry looking pickup (pre tacoma) sitting at a local
used car place for a couple of months recently... I finally stopped
to look, and the owner wanted $10,000 for it. I posted pictures
of it here - coincidentally(?) it was gone about two days
    later...

Good ones usually go fast, but not always I guess... when I found
mine and called up to North Carolina about it, the fellow said there
were already some folks looking at it. I asked how I could get
in line, he said there was no line, anyone who brings money gets
to buy it if they want. I put down $500 over the phone, I was done
    looking all over for 4wd/mt/6cyl/2-door...
