I have a 6/7 build that has been stuck in the processing phase for over a month and I haven't gotten any information as to why. I'm in Utah and all the dealerships here have no cars and are totally booked. I'm debating if I should try my luck in surrounding states in the off chance that one comes in before mine. Has anyone done something similar, and if so, are there any dealerships you recommend?

Same here, thinking about trading in the old Cement, only allocations not spoken for here in Alabama / GA region are Sports with Prem, Tech and LED packages. I'm gonna wait it out and see what the year brings. I've been able to get MSRP but I just dont want a sport.

I feel that. I'm torn because the dealer kept telling me that it would be here at the end of June but now they've gone dark. I also keep seeing people's July builds getting delivered and it's really making me want to jump ship haha.

Sounds like your dealer thought they could snag an allocation, but I dont think any dealers are swapping these days.

Nothing, just put a sh*t ton of miles on it, its at 45k and was worried about issues out of powertrain warranty, so I'm on in a rush either I do love her. Just been getting solid trade offers of $36.5-37k and MSRP could swap and lower payment even but starting all over, I'll probably keep her unless a Lunar Rock pops up somewhere or PRO.

I cancelled my local order when I found my exact build out of state for less money. It can happen.

Personally I would never wait for something as “generic” as a Tacoma to be built.

I wanted a Tacoma, couldn’t find it locally for a reasonable price, so I phoned dealers in neighboring states. Found what I wanted for a reasonable price, went and bought it.

I would think that would be an easy one. Seems 7 out 10 tacoma's here are grey or some sort of silver here in new england. Access cabs are rare, so a double cab tacoma are an easy find. I'd suggest trying a larger volume dealer even if it takes going out of state. I had zero issues going out of state to buy my truck, but for some different reasons.

I live in Indiana and found the Pro I wanted in Maryland. I called all over the place till I found the exact one I wanted at a price that seemed "reasonable". I did the paperwork via mail. I had it shipped to my driveway. It was a good learning experience.
