Waiting on my 18 trd or. Been watching Maxx Powell YouTube and really like his truck. He is running long arm king with baja kit and not sure on rear. I am trying to decide what to order for mine. Like his tire size and look too. Anyways I want most lift i can and best ride and want king for sure. Can some give options that would work best to get this with kings and what all around front and back set up would be best. Do not want any rubbing at all. I do not mind doing some cutting with that kit I heard about.

I read that the 2018 Tacoma might not be able to be lifted, due to TSS (Toyota Safety Sense).

Where there is a will, there is a way and all that, but something to check on before purchasing, fwiw.

I hope that is not the case, that would be a terrible move on Toyotas part IMO.

Hey man thanks for watching my channel! The Kings mid travel ki is an awesome option. If you watch my older Moab videos youl see the truck on a 3 inch mid travel kit with Total Chaos upper control arma it was an awesome set up but you do have to do a cab mount chop to fit my size tires. The kit i have now is a +2 long travel kit from Baja kits if you message JT at Bajakits he can get you all the info you need. The Long arm kit can tackle anything you throw at it but wont feel like stock on the road. I still love it though

From what i read they give the best ride on road. After doing lot more research and went and looked at another tacoma with icon system in thinking long arm is not the choice for me with so much commute. I won't be off roading hard stuff or rock climbing

I drove my 01 long travel happily until one day I realized I was kinda sick of the ride and the squeaks. And it had become 2017, and I had an option outside of the hideously ugly 2nd gen. I jumped in it the other day and took it for a ride and wondered how I drove it as long as I did without suffering brain damage and permanent hearing loss. I’m exaggerating. But still. I also moved to a place where I cant really get it up to any fun speed where it would be appreciated. If I’m crawling up rocks I’d rather use my 17 stock. King makes good shocks, but I believe Fox uses better materials.

You'll hear mid travel, long travel and extended travel. At the end of the day you either have long travel or you don't. Extended travel is nothing more than removing a spacer which gives you an extra 1/2"-3/4" of travel. Most people mention it because it sounds cool. Mid travel is adding UCA that allow for more movement.
