Buying tires at Costco - Are they the same at tire stores, or are they a diff tire?

Discount Tire for the win! Free tire rotation every 5k, $5 insurance per tire, free TPMS migration to new tires ( current/former military and current law enforcement), and free rebalancing on rotation.

The tech messed up the balancing on my wife’s car ( vibrated like crazy on the freeway ) and they moved us to the front of the line the next day to make it right.

    I won’t go anywhere else.

As much as I like pricing, I had a bummer experience with Discount Tire. While there's plenty of them around town, I've just got a bad taste. America's Tire around the corner from me has treated me well. It'll cost me about an extra 100 bucks to get the whole replacement warranty, but at the least I know they'll take care of me.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
Discount and America's Tire are the same company.

Not sure about tires but especially on electronics, it is not uncommon for a big retailer to make an agreement with a vendor for a custom spec item. Walmart has their own model samsung (or at least used to). It was an issue for some when they went to warranty it and it wasn't covered.

So to confirm what some mentioned, I was in costco yesterday to swap my tires to my original wheels. Asked about a larger tire and the manager had said if it wasn't a stock size they wouldn't do it. Whatever, always going to be another install shop.

I figured that with the similarities of their online websites and selections. Searching for one brings up the others. But I guess my experience really revolves with the service manager or tech at the specific location I went to. I'm sure it's not like that at every Discount Tire.

True. The name varies from state to state. I believe like most franchise ops, the deals and service does too.
