I bought my Taco and Tundra sight unseen and had them shipped to me. My advice, buyer beware. I got lucky af on both occasions but both trucks were less than 2 years old, one owners, all records, and under 10k miles. I went so far as to get the vin, find the prior owner of my Tundra, and call the selling dealership for intel. They werent selling it and didnt really have anything to lose but found he was in his 70s, non smoker, and traded for the 0% financing for a Ram (gross). Will I do it again? Absolutely not. But it was the only truck that came up in 12 months that fit every check box and I wasnt about to lose it. I cant recall the shippers but the first ones ‘lost’ the spare key for the Taco. The second was a hot shot trucker and the Tundra arrived immaculate. Not that that helps any..

Probably yes. My only issue that seemed to separate it from any others or make in unique in any way was very low mileage for the year.

You’re not the first one in this thread to assume I was talking about a Tacoma.

A 2017+ F-150, extended cab, 4WD, with the Lariat package and the 3.5L eco boost, in black or grey, with under 30k miles. As of last night, I could find two in the whole country. Today, there is only one. I think that counts as a unicorn.

LOL, even better than a Tacoma. An F150, America's best selling vehicle for 43 years, a unicorn? Um, ok.

Back to the original question, I'm sure someone on here near the truck you are looking to buy will help you out and check it out for you. Or an independent appraisal or PPI is your way to go. Good luck with your search.

I’m sorry I used the word without seeking permission from the Elder Council for the Preservation of the Proper Use of Words. Jesus, some of you all get hung up on the stupidest shit.

What else should I call a truck of which I can find one example in the entire country? I’ve even been clicking on individual car lots’ websites in about a 250 mile radius looking at their inventories individually.
