buying used parts

has anyone bought parts off tacoma_parts_4runner_parts on IG? Looking at getting king shocks. or anyone on here selling king shocks

it's a gamble if you are buying used from an unknow person.
Also, many of the high end shocks have frequent rebuild intervals, so that's a consideration I would take too.

 

yeah thats true. heard and seen some horror stories of people gettung burned. just curious if anyone on here has done business with that seller on IG

 

For IG sales, I usually look to see if anyone is liking their posts for one, and if they are following any other Toyota IG accounts such as the big named companies. I have seen some IG accounts posting "used parts" and when you reach out to them for a physical address or telephone number they hesitate and do not provide one. I would avoid any sales via IG.

 

Guess it would depend on the part. I bought a used windshield wiper switch (with intermittent controls) for my '09. No problems.
