    Hello TW!
I completed a fog light install on my 2010 v6 4x4 today. The issue I’m trying to sort out is a buzzing foglight relay when the lights are turned on. The 2010 V6s are pre wired for fog lights. I installed the lamps, plugged them in, installed a foglight relay, and spliced in a $10 switch I got on Amazon. It was the same switch as shown in the attached video, and I followed his lead as far as which wires to splice to which. Switch is illuminated, and fog lights turn on as I’d expect, however the relay is humming for some reason. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am no wiring guru. I will happily provide photos of my splices or anything else if that’s helpful.
    Thanks in advance
P.S. the fog lights are LED but I’m not sure that would affect anything.

If the vehicle is prewired, show where you tapped the wires of the switch.

The OEM switch completes the circuit to ground to turn on the relay. Aftermarket switches are designed to supply power to the relay to energize the relay coil. The difference is in how the lights in the switch are wired. I suspect the problem you have is that you ended up with an illumination bulb in series with the relay coil. This is causing low voltage to the relay coil and the result is relay chattering.

Open the switch up and unsolder led1 ground lead and solder to the relay pin. Unsolder the resistor (R1) lead and solder to dash light pin. Connect the ground and source wires to ground wire black/white (4 on the tacoma connector). Connect the relay wire to the blue wire (3). Connect the dash light wire to the green wire (1).

This makes the button ground switching and gets the illumination light to turn on when the switch is pressed. Now all I gotta do is make my wires shorter, solder it better and insulate the splices so i can fit it back into the switch (the pic was my test to see if it worked).20201225_001934.jpg
