So I have just started to feel this in my pedal. I get a pretty constant buzz in my gas pedal and what appears to be various RPMs. I haven't tried to get higher revs yet to see if it goes away. However, I have done a few mods to my truck and didnt start feeling this until after. I have new shocks upfront (stock coils though) and a new steel skid. I can't see how these would cause this. It def feels like its due to engin vibs and not the road. I really don't want to have to pull the IFS skid off to test because its heavy AF. I have a new lift that I'll be putting on in the next week or so. I'm afraid to take it to the dealer because I know they'll just say its the mods I have done. I just want the buzz in my foot gone.

Props for taking some action. Also, for anyone else considering doing this you can also probably use a material call sorbothane (mcmaster-carr) that is made for vibration damping. It does not have an adhesive backing though IIRC.

Just got back from the dealer, resolving this buzz issue along with other issues I'm having. Test drove the truck with a foreman and he said he can definitely feel the buzz but said it's "normal". I asked him if it's normal, then tell me why the truck was built that way, why they put the buzz there. He didn't have a answer...:frusty:

This was actually my first time sitting in the passenger while someone actually drove the truck past 2k rpm. To say, I can feel the buzz underneath the floor board. :help:

I'm guessing after market stuff has been ruled out at the cause for the most part? I can't imagine everyone here would have the same lift, skids, etc.

Well shit you are lucky! I can feel the buzz through out all gears. Freeway is the worst because 2200 rpm is right at my cruise speed.

Truck is stock, No after market yet until issues resolved. I was asked by the adviser this morning if am I planning to lift the truck with beefier tires! My answer was yes, I will when I get everything resolve.. The only reason why I'm not doing it because I know for a fact you guys will use it as an excuse. He laughed and said "AGREED".

This might help the foot pedal but how about the steering? Perhaps dynamat the steering shaft!

Worse thing about the wifes 2017 tacoma is the distinct 'buzz' in the steering wheel. Good thing she drives it cause I don't want to.

For the millionth time,it IS NOT speed or gear dependent. It is when it is in the 2100-2400 rpm range. When I am on the highway and it downshifts into the buzz zone I literally cringe. So yeah when your in 6th gear cruising at 1800 rpm it will go away.

Excuse my frustration, but after being told at every service yeah we feel it but that's normal my head is about to explode. It' not normal ,no one would design a vehicle like this on purpose. And I am sure any competent Toyota drive line engineer could drive it and have a very good idea of the cause immediately. My firm opinion is that it would be too expensive to remedy and therefore we are stuck with these 35K vibrators.

Just got my truck back, I was talk to the assistance manager about the buzz noise and he said thing as what the foreman said in the morning "it's normal". I simply ask him if it's normal than there has to be a reason behind as to why they build it this way, and also why it only happened to some trucks...? No answered... Told me to complain to crop!

Note: A buddy have a 2016 OR and his doesn't have the buzz vib...

If I am driving around town in that RPM range I have no buzzing. I only notice it on the highway in 5th gear. ??? I'll have to check it next time I go for a spin, but i'm not going to look too hard for a problem if i don't have to...

People need to stop buying these vibrators. Won't happen until some prominent media outlet makes a bigger deal out of it. Folks affected by this should try to get some car magazine or TV station interested in the issue. Without that expect asshats at Toyota to do exactly nothing.

cant believe this thread is still going,,, people just buy and complain later i guess... if your reading this and thinking of buying a tacoma?? Dont ! It will vibrate and be very annoying and toyota service dept will make u think your the first person that ever complained of this issue and make u feel like its all in your head...

Simple economics the truck still owns the small truck market so why do they care about vibration concerns. Unless 10 trucks are involved in serious accidents with injury no fix will be made. I hope they do fix it, but I won't hold my breath.
