@bvbull200 I don't know why I can never see your photos on the work computer but it seems we were both rolling pork bellies this weekend LOL completely different styles and and cooking methods though! I ended up using mine in some home made ramen ( https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/foodies-bs-thread.151840/page-732#post-22554102 ) following this recipe ( https://www.justonecookbook.com/homemade-chashu/ ) but I have to tell ya.. yours definitely has a better looking appearance!! (I had to check my phone on break to see what people were talking about)

3000 PBBEs?!?! That's a lot of happy voters at the next competition!!

I host the images on imgur for posting here. I am updating this build in a couple of other places and by wrapping an imgur link in tags, I can copy/paste.

The funny thing is, I'm like you in that I can't see the pictures from my work computer which is where I do most of my TW browsing .

The belly turned out very good, but I can do better. Maner has a good idea that he's going to try. I'm going to tinker with the recipe as well.

That ramen you made looks DAMN good! I don't really make ramen unless it is a $0.10 pack of noodles, but I'm inspired to try!

I'd never considered making it either until I saw the recipe for the Chashu was made from a pork belly. Then I had to get get some education on Sake and another lesson on noodles.. so for me it was a total learning process... and the best part is that all the little additions can be whatever you want. I don't think a pork belly rubbed with On Point would go well with the other flavor profiles in the dish, but the recipe I followed made it fit right in! After I sliced it the next day and right before I added it to the bowl, I heated it up and and caramelized it with a torch which lent a hint to the smoking world we are all so fond of.

Also.. my apologies for hijacking your build thread again LOL

Not a hijack at all! It's all in the same spirit, so no bother to me. I posted the first non-build pics anyways ;).

As you well know, it isn't uncommon to eat good out at Maner's. That or some greasy burgers and fries :D.

I’m scheming on the pork belly experiment now. Got to get me some supplies from H-E-B tomorrow.

We gotta figure out a way to get that sucker weighed. I'd love to get an accurate reading on it with all racks installed.

By the way, I'll text you, but I talked with the wife last night and I think I'm going to look in to doing the other trailer option we talked about yesterday. :D

May have to smoke the belly for a little while first but damn would that be good with a nice pork and mushroom gravy to ladle over the sauces.

Sounds like more cutting, welding and grinding! .. Then you're going to have to learn about vinyl wrapping a vehicle so that the truck matches the smoker/trailer. Easily another 40 pages of posts/pictures and poking fun!
