Got more excited to resume this build after this weekend. It's gonna be a sweet setup once complete.

We'll have to think through the canopy setup so as not to paint myself in to a corner. Might need to see how 'flexible' it can be in terms of being able to easily convert from extending off of the right side vs the left side.

Plan for next year is to spend the night out there Sunday as well. We usually finish the Sunday competition, turn-in, clean-up, then go home. I think we'll relax out there for one more night instead. Plan this trailer right and clean-up will be a breeze.

Hope this last competition has convinced you to place mirrored panels in the unit. Combined with the smoke, the mirrors might shed some insight on the judgin’ process. :bananadead:

Big Congrats on another award winning cook. :hattip:

I would think you should be able to make the mounting brackets on either side of the trailer.

Maybe you should add a second story to the trailer and then just have the beds or lounging deck up there.

I think we can figure that out. September 15th (I think?) is when I'm heading back out to Maner Ranch and we're going to work on the trailer a bit. Curious to see Maner's ideas for the canopy mounting. Whatever it is, I figure we can just mirror it on the other side.

I keep getting super ambitious, but need to make sure this thing doesn't end up too cluttered and unnecessarily heavy as well.

I am going to concentrate on all the welding that needs done. Figured by having the trailer in the shop would give ya something to do while the welding is going on. Need to get it on jacks, remove the wheels, pull the hubs, remove bearings / seals for replacement, inspect and polish spindle and remove all lights and wiring for sandblasting.
