Hello all, sad day for my Tacoma today. Traded in for a 2015 4Runner Trail. My son and I had some good times with the Tacoma since day one. I have learned so much about our truck in this forum that i can almost say that i'm an expert on this vehicle, (not really but feel that way). but it's really time to move on to something else, since the wifey doesn't really like a truck. maybe someday when my son gets older we'll get a 3rd generation tacoma. I have to say that i felt a sense of sadness when i gave up the keys at the dealership, it felt like a good friend leaving you or something like that. i'll still be on the site from time to time to check things out. i'll be on T4R.org see you guys there.

ps. i have a bunch of goodies for sale from my tacoma. i'll post pictures at a later time.

    Peace

    Very nice vehicle!

I think that's what I would have if not the taco.

Did the same thing April 28, 2014. Traded in my 2012 DCSB 4x4 TRD Pro. I really wasn't sure about it but needed something with more weather proof space (the Taco was still in new condition & had needed nothing). I ended up with the one on the left. A 2014 4x4 Limited. Haven't yet run across a situation yet where I needed the bed space though moving the old dishwasher did give me some concern due to residual water.

If you're like me and not one that uses the bed much, I think you'll be happy with your trade.

Just bought the old lady a 4runner last month. I'm totally jealous. It's a much nicer ride than the tacoma, but I can't give up the bed, even if it is just an adorable little 5 footer.

i can see not having the bed being an issue. the second row on the 4runner doesn't really fold flat it's on a slight incline towards the front. i have a 5x9 trailer that i'll have to pull out of the garage if i ever need to haul anything large. but i have to say the 4runner rides much better than the taco.

Here's my question...would a Tacoma LT kit fit on a new 4runner? I thought i read that the LCA bushings are a different size on the 4Runner or something...I REALLY like the new 4runners, but I'm sitting on like 6k worth of LT shit that i don't want to get rid of lol.

Good upgrade, the interior of the new 4runners is strong. Got to love the comfy backseats and space. Good move

The 4Runner is more of a station wagon than an SUV now so I just couldn't get one. I hope it serves you well. :sadviolin:

I drove a 4Runner from 04 to 08, and I still regret trading it in. I'm betting you'll grow to really like it.

I've thought about it several times since the 4Runner is still mostly made in Japan but my truck is paid off, I camp out of the bed a lot and it doesn't have as many electronic gizmos.

My wife and I just bought a 2014 Trail 4Runner, and we love it! It's nice being able to have my Tacoma, and then steal her 4Runner every once in a while. Congrats on the purchase!
