Aside from the better rear setup, what do you like more about the front specifically?

uca, I will wait until my stocks cant align right or whatever. for the front its still too soon to say, I will do some offroading tomorrow near red rock las vegas. but I will say it takes freeway lane markers nicely, I cant feel anything at all. and for people that say the ome hd are stiff... I don't know about that. they seem to have a soft ride to me.

also the reason I made the switch is I needed a more beefy rear end since I orders a steel bumper with tire swing out from mobtown. I should get that in a month of two, and I just thought why not add nicer suspension. lol

The ADS setup is a higher quality damper... it will be better in every way than the Bilstein. Not that the Bilstein would have been bad, but it's certainly an upgrade.

Do you have the ADS set up? What is better about it? What does that translate to in performance? Freeway bumps not withstanding... what changes do you feel off road on big hits and small trail chatter ?

OP ... please post follow up information when you gain more perspective.

I don't personally have an ADS setup on my truck but have sold their setups as well as Bilstein and others. I also have worked in the design of many different coilover suspension setups for cars. There is a difference in the quality of dampers for both on-road and off-road. Having thrown Koni, Bilstein, Penske, etc. on shock dynos there are clear differences in how each damper handles high, mid, and low-speed as well as compression and rebound damping. A high end setup isn't necessary or needed for most people on here, however a high end setup certainly will feel and perform much nicer.

I don't argue that there are high end setups that perform better. And I'm not a suspension expert, so reading what engineering marvels make them perform better means little to me.

I want to know what they do to the seat of your pants and if they rattle your teeth in different types of conditions. Do they make your truck feel like a desert racer or a UPS truck.... those are the measures that I was asking about.

Spring rate has a big factor in how they feel. But with a lower spring rate and a quality damper like ADS, it will feel much smoother hitting imperfections in the road. Cheaper setups tend to bounce over things a bit more at higher speed while a nicer setup will take the hit of the suspension a tad better.

so thanks and all.... but hoping to hear from the guy who actually has the suspension.

    No offence

I will keep you posted tomorrow. I will let you know though, I had kings before on my tundra, which where awesome shocks. but I will say right now these seem pretty good and the ride is nice. my friend has a stage 4 or 5 icon on his tundra and its good but I thought my tundra was a bit better? but then again its a heavy truck.

I will post pics of my little offroad trip tomorrow.
