How do I remove the passenger airbag switch? I know the harness is unused on double cabs and newer access cabs.

No, my passenger seat is the same. I swapped the exterior of the radio to the 2012 - 2015 one that doesn't have a spot for the switch.

If tour truck came with it you mist keep it. You have to leave it connected and " on " just stash it behind the dash if you don't want to see it. If you disconnect it your airbag system light will come on and the entire system will not fire if it is in an error mode. When an error exists it kills the whole damn deal.

I already figured that part out haha. It says airbag off and I have the warning light. Guess I'll just have to swap it switch back on and leave it behind the dash. How do the double cabs work without that switch?

My 07 double cab has a sensor in the passenger seat and it turns on if some one is sitting in it. No bypass at all

Meter the switch and see what it does. If it just connects 2 wires, just solder and heatshrink the wires. Although probably not "Kosher" for airbag stuff, probably neither is hanging the switch behind the dash.

That's kind of what I was thinking. I'm guessing with the switch removed then the passenger airbag is open AKA off, if I close the switch it will go back to auto mode. Honestly, hanging the switch behind the trim is sounding like a better option more and more

Just had an idea. Can you mount the switch so that it's accessable when you open the glovebox?

I'll have to see if I have enough cable to route it to the glovebox, that's not a bad idea.

    "Does this thing have airbags?"
"Your side does. I don't know about mine"

Haha, don't have to pay to replace airbags if they never blow!
