Bypassing the A/C compressor

    Satoshi with FJ badge, factory cruise, factory intermittent wipers, Redline Tuning hood-lift struts, Hellwig Swaybar, Rosen DVD-Nav
    Use a small pipe as a stethoscope.
    Run the engine, have someone hold the throttle high enough above idle so the noise is apparent, then put the pipe to your ear and move it around the engine compartment listening for the source.

    AC clutch failures are not that common. Idler and water pumps are. I replaced my water pump a month or two ago.

    I'm having the same issue, AC pump is shot. Anyone figure out for sure if this can be bypassed?

    My Compressor does not spin at ALL burned the belt off of it :(

    Bad news i need to either find a AC compressor delete kit to replace the stuck one i have or take the one i have apart and try and free it up and probably put new bearings in it just act as a dead pulley.

    There has been lots of talk about delete kits but i can not seam to find one to fit, also people are saying you will lose your defrost if you delete it. I do not think this is true because you still have a heater core the defrost will not be conditioned air

    I need defrost but i do not need AC defrost

    It will cost more then the truck is worth to put working ac back on it, AC pump, hose, cleaning, pressurize test, fill.

    Years listed for the 4 runner and FJ are the single vvti motor so it should work.
