Ultragauge shows intake temp is only 2 degrees warmer than the outside temp. Seems like a CAI is not really worth it unless you are after the sound.

Doug Thorley Long Tube Headers, Eclipse 6620 AVN GPS/DVD, K&N Drop-in Air Filter, Hose clamp mod, Redline Quick Lift Elites, Bilstein 5100's at .85, Firestone Ride Rite Air Bags, Weather Techs front and back, Bug Guard, and Factory Bull Bar, Wet Okole's up front, Bed Mat, LED interior lights, Fumoto Oil Valve
Buy a drop in filter (K&N or Pro Dri) and save the rest for a set of Long Tube headers. The intake on our trucks does a pretty decent job as is. Mostly what you would pay for on a CAI is sound.

No, Its not worth the money. To see any performance gains you have to redline the truck to 6000 RPMS. but it does clean up the look under the hood.
