In my last truck I had one of these coupled with a firestik that worked great. I actually stored it in the glove box and had a clip for when I needed it. The small profile and no separate transceiver box was great.

    See post #10.
It took some modding but it worked out pretty well.

I'm not sure. Here's the link from Amazon. It appears to have a no return policy per the only review. You'll be stuck with it once you order the thing.
    https://www.amazon.com/ARB-BRCFJ-In...pID=31BdOGzjPZL&preST=_SX300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch

I'd shoot ARB an email and ask them....I think it's Sales@ARBUSA.com

I know they have fit kits for various size radios. But what I did for mine is used self adhesive super strong velcro to attatch in it place and so far it's working pretty well.

Another thing I did is both the two front lights and the rearward lights all have their own switches. There's another switch that turns all the lights on or off at once. I re-wired that other switch to turn my front facing camera on and off. You could re-wire it to a relay to operate all kinds of stuff. There's more room to install small simple switches as well.

Ventilation inside the thing kinda blows. My radio is a 50 watt Ham unit. It gets pretty hot inside the console. I might add a computer fan to help ventilate at some point.

Edit: This one has more reviews:

    Here is my completed install:
Uniden 510xl & some mic I had laying around for a while.
18 foot coax cable (just barely reached to the driver side tailgate mount I have)
90 degree coax connector for behind the radio
Rago fabrication driver side tailgate cb antenna mount
    Firestik heavy duty stud mount
Firestik 3 foot antenna & spring mount

I used a heat gun and screwdriver handle method to melt and push in the air duct behind the radio so that it would fit more flush. In hindsight, I should have pushed it in a bit more so that the radio would sit back further, but im happy with the outcome and I can always go back in and adjust it later. The 90 degree coax connector in my opinion is a must for installing a cb in the factory ashtray location.
