I going have to buy some replacement tires. I'm looking at Cooper at/3 . Gonna stay 245/75 16 . My question is should I go with p,Lt c range,or Lt range? Don't do much serious off- roading except hunting season . I haul a 18 bass boat on occasion and sometimes have a load of lumber ,tile ,ect. But not often , ride and mileage are important but it seems sometimes the stock hankook have a roll in curves.Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Based on your use and frequency I would suggest C.

Look at the load ratings in LBS for the tire comparisons, some E's I was looking at were only a ~300lb more capacity than a C. E do typically have a heavier sidewall for rock climbing.

Wait for the next Ebay sale and buy some C's With a mfg rebate. I just put on 265/75/16 Hancock dynapro ATMs for $317. However I do like the looks of the new cooper at3 more.

    Good luck

You shouldn't need E range tires.

I honestly don't think it matters for your use. Find a tire that you like and is affordable and go for it.

Not in all cases, but the P rating often has better mileage warranty than the LT tires.

C there is no reason for an E rated tire on a Tacoma.

This might not help you, considering I stuck with STD load ... but the Cooper Discoverer AT3's were great tires for me. Lots of hwy driving, firewood hauling, A-liner Expedition towing over their 68k mile life.

Great MPG's (exceeded 25 regularly when I was trying), excellent in the rain and snow.

I probably had another 10k of life in them, but I got a flat ... and they had an uneven wear pattern due not keeping up with alignment like i should have.

Have a new set of STD load AT3 4S on there now, and they have a bit more road noise ... but otherwise seem identical in MPG and rain performance to the regular AT3. They are too new for any more of a comparison.

Since you tow, go with C load. E would be overkill, IMO.

P rated tires could do the job as well, just Not as well as the Cs for towing.
