One thing I’ve learned is to never save my vehicle for the next guy. I’m gonna drive the crap out of my vehicles.

I never had an issue with my two C6s. I looked at C7s at Kerbecks and thought it looks too much like a movie prop for Transformers...The C8 won't come with a manual so I will stick to my C6..........Plus I don't care for "severe look at me" designs. My C6 is too old for that. I can park where I want to and am not OCD about it.

The C8.R looks amazing, can't wait to see it on the IMSA circuit next year.

One last karting tidbit for you before you go out and spend $70,000+ on a C8 when you could have spent only $10K on a kart and had MUCH MORE fun and excitement: In 2004, when the 250cc SuperKarts ran at Laguna Seca before the American Lemans Series race, the winning 250cc kart's best lap time would have placed it 4th OVERALL on the ALMS grid; In front of every Porsche, in front of every Corvette. There were only three factory Lemans prototypes that bested it. The guy that mentored me placed 4th in that race, his 250cc kart also ahead of all Porsches and all 'Vettes. Go drive one before you buy that Vette and a pair of those shorts. Caution though...only two people that have driven mine ever asked to do it again. The rest got out and wanted nothing to do with it ever again. One of those among the "never again" group drives a 7.90 bracket dragster, and another other races drag bikes. Neither wanted back in it. Taking turns that fast with that many lateral G's scared the crap out of them, and even then they were nowhere near the kart's limits. It's fun to go fast in a straight line in a big V-8 and all, but run it hard down into a 90 degree turn and flick it into a 4-wheel drift at 80 or 90 like you can in a kart. It won't end well. I've raced all my life, SCCA road racing and at the strip. Nothing approaches the thrill of a kart. Don't miss your opportunity to try it before you buy. Finally, call any racing driving school. Ask them what is the baddest 4-wheel vehicle they use.
