Does anyone know of a website where I can heavily bet the over on when the OP says he'll leave California?

I could get double for what I paid for my house. Not a bad idea to leave.

Well I'm going to say this outright. When I got the same letter from the DMV for the CPS, Toyota said it would be five months to get the part in (back in 2016), I Photoshopped the Toyota sheet making it look like they replaced it rather than not having it since my tags expired in 30 days. Needless to say I got my tags and then five months later I got a call that the CPS came in for TSB replacement. I'm not saying anyone should do what I did but f' California.

My buddy is doing that. New casino and neighborhood got put in, property value is going up, and he's coming to free America with his family.

OP, did the DMV confirm it was the blower motor that was the reason for this registration issue? It seems stupid if that’s the case, but so far it seems like you aren’t sure.

Okay, back to everyone saying the same old things about how California sucks. Carry on. A DMV inconvenience related to my vehicle isn’t even on the top 8,000 things I care about when I think about where I want to spend most of my days, but I get it that it’s expensive to live here.

The DMV is pretty low on the list of why California sucks.....

If Toyota issues a recall on something it’s because it’s a safety issue or an emissions problem. We know the blower motor is not in any way related to emissions so I’m betting the wiring was catching fire for the blower motor and probably burned a few trucks to the ground before they decided to recall it. The real question is if you knew it was a recall why did you do it yourself?

Because my original one was broken and I was going on a long road trip in the middle of the summer. I was in a pinch and didn't have the time to wait for the local dealerships bullshit.

Two of my coworker had the exact same issue. Turns out they had to have the cam sensor changed under warranty by Toyota before it was cleared for them to get their tags. I think one has a 16 and the other a 17.
