Looking for recommendations and pictures of where you guys put your CAB antenna on your 3rd gens. I'm putting a magnet base on top of my cab for now but want to mount a nice one somewhere permanently. Where do you guys mount your antennas?

Reviving this, would like to know if there are any brackets out there to use with a mag mount. My truck has a bed cover so I'm limited in options.

Did you ever install it? I’m wondering how you ran the wires into the cab?

Behind the back seat there is several rubber gromets to run the wire into cab

For my magnet mount I just ran the cable in through the rear window and along the upper trim pieces. I wanted a temporary solution as I don't plan on leaving it there. I think I'm going to go with a tailgate area mount, at least that's the look I like. C4 makes a tailgate mount, but they're $35 each and only available via a forum post I found here:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/cb-ham-radio-tailgate-antenna-led-pod-mount-by-c4-fab.459291/
I need to finally get a welder for an upcoming project so I might just cut out a little piece of metal myself and bend it for the tailgate rather than pay $35 for a little piece of metal. Might take me a few attempts but could be fun project and DIY tutorial write up...
I think the tailgate mount for the CB on one side and 2M HAM antenna on the other side would look cool.

Did any of you guys have any luck with the magnetic mounts? I got the K40 magnet mount, and the SWR was hovering around 6.0 no matter where I placed it. They are sending me another currently, assuming it's malfunctioning, but I assumed we don't have a big enough ground plane for SWR <2. In case you're wondering, I did check for continuity across positive/ground, and for a signal from radio to antenna, and everything appears to be working, aside from insane SWR.

I'm in the same boat - I have a shell on the rear, so limited on options. I'm thinking of going the NGP firestik route unless the magnet mounts have worked for anyone here...
