I have a 1996 Tacoma and am trying to remove the two bolts and plate that are attached to the perch. Not sure what kind of tool to use or high i can jack up the cab to get to the nuts. They are rusted on there pretty good. Original bushings are part of the plate and only way to remove the plate is to remove nuts (I think).

Ideas would be appreciated from anyone who's dealt with removal....Thanks

They are bolts that are removed/replaced from the top. The nuts on the bottom are welded in place. You need to jack the cab up 2.5" or so (one side at a time) to get the old bushing out so start there. 6pt shallow socket or box wrench/cheater
