Has anyone seen any kind of an explanation from Toyota as to why there isn't a single cab offered in the 3rd Gen. Tacomas, just the access cab, and the double cab?
Were there not enough sales of single cabs during the last couple of years of the 2nd. Gen. trucks to justify the expense for tooling up a 3rd Gen. single cab?
    Just curious.

That's odd. Must be someone didn't proofread the copy on the website before setting up that page.

My wife and I are hobbits at 5'4", so it's a non issue for us, but the access cab has so much more leg room when I have taller passengers.

I think 3 things came into play when they decided not to offer it:

    1) bean counters
    2) café standards
    3) catering to a broader / taller customer base.

I think the only reason that the tundra exists in RC still is the insane amount of legroom and 8' bed for work trucks.
