Hey all, I have a '22 Tacoma and am going to wire a 2 way radio using a fuse tap, only thing is I won't be able to put the fuse box cover back on. Is this a problem, and if so is there any other way to wire it or any "extended" fuse box covers?

    Thanks.

Why wouldn’t you put in a distribution power panel under the hood near the battery. You can add a fuse link and provide a source for any other additions you may want in the future.

I don't really have a reason to, I don't plan on adding much else if anything but if I do I'd do that

The Meso V2 has fitment issues, and the fuse remover is useless. I'd try the Etsy version above instead.

Another option is to grab power from the trailer brake controller plug if you don't plan to add one. I got a pigtail meant to hook up the controller and hooked it to a mini fuse panel to power my heated seats.
