Hey guys, just got my 17' Ballistic Jester rims on, with 4.5 inch backspace and -12 offset. I am running a 265/70/17 Nitto Terra Grappler with it, and the tires rub when I am in reverse full lock.

I am looking to get a cab mount chop with the welded piece to cover up where it was chopped. Anybody know where I can get this done in SoCal?

It's rubbing against the front of the front fender area at reverse full lock. I have no clue if it is or isn't the cab mount exactly but I assumed that it was.

Probably going to have to cut the inner plastic fender well a little bit. You can use a sharp razor or knife to do this. The stuff is easy to cut.

Anyone have pictures of cutting the inner plastic towards the front of the front fenders?

And if I cut the plastic, do I have to cover it up with anything?

OMG!!! LOL :goingcrazy: Good thing you posted on here before you went to a shop and asked for them to chop the mount just to find out that you didn't even fix the problem! Get out of the truck and turn your wheel and look to see where the closest areas are and go from there. I'm running 295/75/16 with zero rubbing at all. i'm on 3" of lift though and still have plenty of room before I hit the cab mount.

Yeah seriously I am lucky I posted first before doing it! i just need to figure out if I need to cover up the hole in the plastic after cutting it so that my tire does not rub.

First you will need to trim plastic... inner lip of the fender and some of the fender liner. Front and rear of the wheel well. If you still rub you wil need to hammer over your pinch weld at the rear. If you rub the cab mount you will need to chop that. You have a good inch or more after initial contact of plastic before you contact the cab mount.
