    pinstripes. lots of pinstripes.
I'd go the cheap route. Cut to clean metal, wire wheel what you can, spray rust converter on the rest then drown it in Cosmoline and plug it.

Unless you're planning on keeping the truck another 20 years, in which case I'd go the expensive route. Drop it off at a body shop and get a warranty on the repair.

My 08 did the same but worse.
I also use lps3 wish I’d had pulled the rocker plugs and coated the inside.
    Check your cab mounts.
Mine was 12yrs old and 200k I cut the rot and put on a patch with self tappers and seam seal. I spayed the shit out of it inside before closing it up. It got a new frame 1yr before and was totaled 1yr after, kid ran a red and T-boned it dammit!

I am currently fixing my rockers which have similar but worse rust than yours OP.

I’ll post a link to my “build thread” where I’ve documented the fix.

basically you’ll cut out the rust back to good metal (a dremel with cut off shell fits nicely in there), then weld in a new patch. I used Eastwood alumnized steel patches.

Start at post #21 (or read the whole thread)

Pretty standard for here in the rust belt. If your truck is 10 years old with no body rust, you're doing something right. 20 year old trucks rarely have rocker panels any longer.
